“What fever is too high for a child?”
My son is 4 years old and has a slight fever. I want to know what fever is too high for a child?

There is no magic number. Some children tolerate 104-105 without trouble. If they are playful, eating well, with no respiratory distress, use tylenol and keep hydrated. However, a lower fever with the child that looks very sick needs to be checked immediately.
