It is two or usually three crowns fused together, two of this crowns support a fake tooth which is missing in the middle. This bridge gets cemented on teeth which are adjacent to the space where a tooth is missing. It is "fixed" in place with a cement and you can not remove it from your mouth.
Fixed bridge is done to replace a missing tooth./teeth. You must have a tooth or teeth on both sides to hold the crown on the missing tooth. Just like a bridge, you need a strong pole on each side to hold,
A bridge to replace a missing tooth can be removable or fixed, meaning it is cemented to place after the adjacent teeth are prepared, an impression made, and the bridge is constructed by a dental lab utilized by your dentist.
A fixed bridge is a replacement of missing teeth that is cemented on stable teeth. A fixed bridge does not come out of the mouth. It is cemented permanently.
Hi
A fixed bridge is a prosthesis which us usually replaces missing teeth using the adjacent (next to the missing space ) teeth - in front and behind the space - as anchors . The anchor teeth or abutment teeth are prepared as per a crown and the final prosthesis will cover these teeth ( like a crown or cap) and replace the missing teeth ( all three are fused together) . Obviously kinda tough to describe in lay words but your dentist will be able to show or draw it for easier visual understanding.
Hope this helped

It is like multiple crowns fixed together permanently used to replace a tooth or teeth permanently .
A fixed dental bridge is a prosthesis, restoration that is cemented to natural teeth or implants or screwed to implants to either replace missing natural teeth or stabilize or splint together unstable teeth. A newer type can be bonded to slightly or unreduced teeth-Acid Etch Resin Bonded Bridge. Older type is cemented to heavily reduced natural teeth.
A fixed dental bridge is something that is placed in your mouth (cemented or bonded) meaning you can’t put it in and take it out. It Usually involves on crwons on the teeth to hold the bridge. A removable bridge would be a partial that is made of acrylic maybe with a metal infrastructure. It doesn’t require crowns on teeth to hold it in, but generally isn’t as good as a fixed bridge.

Look it up on Google and press images to see a picture. Www.ada.org is also helpful. First understand what a crown is. For teeth that are very broken down, a crown is made to support and rebuild the tooth. Roughly 2 millimeters are removed from the top and all around the tooth after decay is removed and replaced with filling material. Then an impression is taken and the lab makes a crown which looks like the tooth, and it is cemented in permanently. If you are missing a tooth and the tooth ahead and behind the space are shaped for a crown and impressioned, the lab makes a one piece 3-tooth bridge and it is cemented in permanently.

Hi and thanks for your question!
A fixed dental bridge is a dental prosthetic device (basically a fancy way of saying a fake tooth/teeth) that is cemented or bonded in place and is not intended to be removed like a denture. The bridge can be made of gold, porcelain, zirconia or acrylic (plastic) - or a combination of these. There are a few different designs of fixed bridges such as the cantilever bridge, Maryland bridge, or conventional fixed bridge.

A fixed dental bridge is when you have a crown on the tooth in front of the missing tooth space and a crown on the tooth behind the missing tooth space and it is connected with another crown in the middle. The substructure is all one piece like a bridge across the river. The lab team puts porcelain around that substructure it to make it look like three individual teeth and
match the shade of your teeth. It is a very good solution for a single missing tooth.

Hello,
A fixed dental bridge is a way to replace one or more missing teeth. If we break down the words "fixed dental bridge" to what they mean it helps a lot. The word "fixed" refers to the fact that the bridge is fixed in place and cannot be taken out (not without a lot of effort at least). This is in contrast to something that we refer to as "removable" (like a denture that gets taken out every night).
Obvious "dental" refers to dentistry and teeth.
"Bridge is exactly like a bridge you drive over. There is a road on each side that support the road in middle from the sides. In dentistry there are a couple ways to accomplish this. The most common way is to put a crown on the teeth next to the one being replaced and simply suspend a false tooth in the toothless area from the sides of the crown. The whole thing then gets cemented in place. Hope this helps.
My best to you!
