I am a 40 year old male. I have surgery scars. What is best for surgery scars?

In some cases scars can be revised surgically. In some cases they could be injected with Cortizone. Sometimes pressure dressings such as silicone are used. Sometimes scar cream such as Medderma is used
Placing steroid ointment under a doctor’s instruction. If little or no response, it may need a surgical revision. This needs to be done by an experienced plastic surgeon.
Thank you for the question. It definitely depends on the scar itself. Many can be treated with dermabbrasion. Others, however, may require excision and layered closure. Some will even require radiotherapy. It is important to consult a dermatologist, or a plastic surgeon to evaluate the type of scar, and its location in the body, to come up with the right treatment.
