What is the cause of my tooth pain?

I'm 32, and my teeth are starting to hurt me every time I eat sweet foods. It doesn't have to be candy. It just has to be something sugary. What could be causing my tooth pain?

Sensitivity to sweet is decay

Most likely you have a small cavity somewhere. Find a dentist you can trust and have an exam and possibly some radiographs to find out what’s up.
The cause of your tooth pain is most likely decay (cavities). You need to have an exam and will need to get the cavities filled.
You might have a cavity! Best to get it checked out by a dentist and take X-rays.
Usually when a cavity is present that is deep to the nerve sweets will make the tooth hurt.
If the pain is localized in a specific area, then it's likely that there is either new decay, or more likely recurrent decay under an old fillings. Another possibility is there may be some erosion around the part or the tooth next to the gum, which is sometimes sensitive to sweetness.
Not necessarily, but In most cases, sensitivity to sweets is an indication of caries. Get your routine dental exam for that.
