I have a 7-year-old daughter, and our doctor is concerned with her misaligned eyes. He thinks we should have strabismus surgery to correct the alignment. What is strabismus surgery?

Strabismus surgery is an operation on the eye muscles to straighten the eyes and establish normal ocular alignment and binocular vision, i.e., allow the two eyes to work together.

It is a surgery in which the muscles that control eye movement are moved to help correct eye alignment
Surgery on the extraocular muscles which move the eyes to better align the eyes. Your ophthalmologist should be answering this question and if (s)he is not, find another one immediately.
