What is the difference between bipolar 1 and 2?

I am a 37 year old male. I want to know what is the difference between bipolar 1 and 2?

They have similar criteria, but in order to be diagnosed with Bipolar I, you have to have experienced at least one manic episode - an episode that includes grandiose mood and activities that cause marked impairment in social or occupational functioning or requires hospitalization to prevent harm to self or others.
Bipolar 1 has episodes of mania and depression. Bipolar 2 has episodes of depression and hyperactivity or mild hypomania.
