First, you ensure the airway and give oxygen. If necessary, you intubate. If seizures, you give an anticonvulsant and intravenous lipid solution. If there is arrhythmia, you treat the arrhythmia.
Intralipid is specific for lowering the systemic circulating level of most local anesthetics. Many other medications are used to treat the effects of localanesthetic toxicity.
