What type of anesthesia is used for an appendectomy?

I am a 40 year old male. I want to know what type of anesthesia is used for an appendectomy?

Mostly general anesthesia, especially if it is through a scope. I will consider spinal if general has a history of serious complications as MH.
If laparoscopy technique is used, general endo is recommended. In the case of an open procedure, could be a spinal block.
