My family just found out our 11 year old has leukemia. How do they diagnose which type she has?

The most common types of leukemia in children are acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Most children with ALL are between 2 and 4 year-of-age. This leukemia is very curable. Another type of leukemia in children are acute myeloid leukemia (AML), the five-year survival rate is approximately 29.5%. Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL)is now 90% five years survival rate. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CML) is 67.8% five years survival rate. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is not curable. Leukemias are caused by chance mutation in the gene of the white blood cells. Thank you.
