Pediatrician Questions Hunger pangs

What would cause a child to be constantly hungry?

My son is 6 years old, and he never stops eating. But I noticed that he doesn't gain any weight Should I be worried? What would cause a child to be constantly hungry?

The diet of your son probably lacks enough protein, fiber, or fat, all of which promote fullness and reduce appetite. Extreme hunger means lack of sleep, chronic stress, and could be illness or medications!!
He could have a high metabolism. He could have a parasite such as a tape worm. He could have malabsorption. He may be eating low calorie foods. He would need to be checked if this persists.
