“When can you write again after hand surgery?”
I am a 47 year old male. I want to know when can you write again after hand surgery?

There are many factors that determine how quickly you can use your hand to write.
It sounds like you should be evaluated by a Board-Certified Fellowship-Trained Hand surgeon.
I'd be happy to see you.

Hi,
8-12 weeks. It depends on your body's healing capabilities and extent of hand surgery.

That really depends on what operation you are having. In some cases, patients are able to write in 1-2 days. In other cases, it could be several weeks or more. Please consult with your surgeon.

That really depends upon the particular type of surgery that was performed. For simple procedures such as carpal tunnel release or trigger finger release, as long as you are comfortable, you can start writing the next day. However, with more complex procedures, you may have more limitations. Best to ask your surgeon.
