When is the gender of a fetus determined?

I am a 28 year old pregnant female. I want to know when is the gender of a fetus determined?

At conception. When the egg is fertilized by the sperm.
Earliest is 10 weeks with Materna T-21 test. Or 16- 20 weeks US.

It depends. There is testing that screens for fetal chromosomal problems after 12 weeks. If that is not done it is usually able to be determines during an ultrasound at 18 – 20 weeks.

The gender is, literally, determined when the sperm meets the egg at conception. Although, there can be certain processes that cause ambiguous genitalia after that, this is very rare.
