Pain is never normal. See your physician for this or a hand surgeon. Many things that are very painful are easily and simply treated.
That really depends upon the nature of your pain. If you have had constant pain that has been persistent or worsening for at least several weeks, then you should probably consult a physician. If your symptoms are mild and intermittent and not particularly bothersome, then you can probably give this some time to see if your symptoms resolve on their own. I hope this helps!
In general, symptoms lasting 3 weeks or more in an adult should be evaluated by a physician. Of course, that depends on the severity of symptoms and what they are. For hand pain, 3 weeks would be a good rule of thumb.
