My grandfather has Alzheimer's disease. Recently he got lost just a few blocks from home and had to call for help. When should a person with Alzheimer's have assistance?

When they have difficulty with performing their daily activities.

Recent memory declines very fast, and it’s really dangerous: getting lost, leaving food on the stove, running water, etc., so probably needs assistance ASAP.
