Limited wearing schedule are most likely what will happen with dry eyes if you prefer gas permeable semi hard lenses they will not cause dryness but, not everyone adapts well.
Best contact lenses are daily disposable and so many different options available too, please see your local optometrist for eye exam and fitting. Good luck

Daily disposable contact lenses will be the most comfortable for dry eyes. Ortho-keratology lenses may be an option for you as well, Ortho-K lenses are retainer contact lenses worn at night so that you do not need any lenses during the day, which also helps with symptoms of dry eyes during the day.
Daily disposable contact lenses are usually the best option for those who suffer from dry eyes. There are a variety of different daily disposable contact lens brands - visit your optometrist to see which works best for you!
There are many excellent contact lenses for dry eye. I recommend a soft daily replacement or scleral lens. Please make an appointment with your eye doctor to determine the best contact lens option for you. *Melissa Barnett, OD, FAAO, FSLS, FBCLA * she/her Director of Optometry | UC Davis SHCS Host | Clearly KC Podcast Global Ambassador | BCLA Board Member | Intrepid Eye Society Immediate Past Chair | AOA CLCS

That is a tough question as everyone has different comfort tolerances. I am very sensitive to different brands that I try from time to time, but I have patients that can wear just about any thing/brand and have no problem with comfort.
Depending on the severity of your dry eyes, you may or may not be an ideal candidate for contact lens wear. However, patients with mild to moderate dry eyes can still wear contact lenses. I usually prescribe daily disposable contact lenses for my dry eye patients who are able to wear contacts, since you don't have to clean the contact lenses daily (protein deposits on the contact lens can occur if you incorrectly clean the contacts, which can worsen your dry eyes). There's many different brands of daily wear contacts in the market with different levels of effectiveness, so it would be up to you and your eye care professional to decide which daily brand would best fit your visual needs.
Try using dailies. If your contact lens does not have astigmatism then Dailies Total 1 by Alcon is great! If you have astigmatism then you can try Dailies Aquacomfort plus toric
Daily lenses. Throw them away every day and don’t sleep in contact lenses.
