“Why do I get cough every month?”
I am a 39 year old man and almost every month I get a cough which lasts for several days and causes breathlessness and severe discomfort. What could be the reason for this?

Episodic coughing often comes from either post nasal drip or acid reflux into the esophagus which irritates the airways.
