“Why does my doctor want to remove my IUD during my period?”
I'm getting my IUD removed early because I want to have kids soon. My OB-GYN, however, wants to remove my IUD during my period because it's a little easier. Why is this an easier time to remove an IUD?

The cervix is slightly open and more relaxed during your period which can be a more comfortable time to place or remove an IUD
