My eyelid twitches very often and I don't know why this happens. Do you?

Eyelid twitches or spasms are usually caused by stress, fatigue or caffeine. They usually go away without treatment in a few days or weeks. If they are not improving a complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
Usually any stress, excess caffeine or not enough sleep. As long as it is only the lid, it is benign. If the face is involved, see a neuro-ophthalmologist or neurologist.
Yes. There are 3 main differential diagnoses:
1. Lack of sleep
2. Too much caffeine
3. Too much stress

It's due to nervous overreaction or simulation. Reduce coffee, stimulants, and stress. See a doctor if those can't help.
Eyelid twitching in younger people is in general due to stress. It’s not serious and will resolve when the stress is gone.

Eyelid twitching is usually a benign spasm of the muscle that surrounds the eye. It can be from various causes such as stress, too much caffeine, not enough sleep, and unless it progresses to a facial twitch we usually do not worry about it. It can be understood like hiccoughs which can come many times in several days and then not again for months. If it persists for more than a few weeks, then consult with an ophthalmologist who will decide if you need further evaluation.
