Pediatrician Questions Eating Issues with Children

Why is my child always eating?

My son is 7, and a healthy size and weight, but he can't stop eating. He eats adult portions, and never feels full. What's wrong with him?

He has a high catabolic/anabolic ratio. It means that he builds muscle and backbone protein at a faster rate than fats. Dietary component also plays an important role in how his body converts fuel into muscle or fat.
He may have a high metabolism and is very active so he burns the calories. If weight is normal and he is doing well I would not be concerned.
