Metastatic pancreatic cancer finally brought down associate, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who had served in her post for 27 years. She was a brilliant lawyer who battled for human rights with a quiver of arrows from the quivers of women's issues and from behind a shield of courage, moral rectitude, and humanism. She was short, barely 5 ft tall, almost never exceeding 120 lbs, and formally Jewish. Nevertheless, she became a rock icon known as the notorious RBG. We now know that she held on despite many upsurges of cancer using lucidity as her sole criterion for holding her post. The unseemly rush by MOM, Moscow Mitch, the sycophant, and liar Linsey Graham to replace her reveals the urgency to take the focus away from Covid-19 and the desperation behind the control of all aspects of a Judiciary with its own AG pitbull.
In the meantime, the death toll of Covid-19 has hit 400,000 and the infection rate has hit 7 million. The ability of this administration to appoint 3 Justices to SCOTUS in 3 years brings back recollections of old Mrs. Cummings in her storefront Methodist church describing satan moving through the earth to a 6 year old me, but always ending with "the evil prosper but for a time". The responsibility for the mismanagement of the pandemic will not lift from MOM's shoulders. The responsibility for the dissemination of guidelines and even facts about illness has been taken away from scientists by the hired bureaucrats of this administration.
