Many reasons, You may have a low refractive error that doesn’t bother you in the daylight. You may have a disease condition that is worse at night. Some people still experience this after a thorough exam and healthy eyes. Get an eye exam.
Problems while driving at night can be a symptom of many different things. A complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
I can't give you a definite answer without an eye exam, but you are probably myopic (nearsighted) with or without astigmatism, which causes more noticeable visual decrease or problems in low lighting or dark conditions. Make an appointment with an eye care specialist soon because glasses or contact lenses or refractive surgery would improve your vision.
At night, the pupil tends to dilate, causing the eye to behave like a nearsighted eye. It is called “night myopia.” Some people actually get a pair of glasses to help them with this problem at night.

Please know that in some people, this is normal as the pupil dilates and the eye becomes a little near-sighted. If this is bothersome to you, have a refraction done by an ophthalmologist who will check your balance with a final red and green screen. You may have to ask for this.

Poor vision due to poor glasses. Rarely night blindness or retinal disease like diabetic retinopathy
