Why is polishing done after scaling?

I am a 23 year old male. I want to know why is polishing done after scaling?

To get the remaining plaque and stain off of the teeth
The polish is done to remove any residual stains and create a polished surface that will in turn resist further staining.
To make smooth surface to avoid any food deposit
To remove the surface plaque and make the enamel as smooth as possible.
For a smoother tooth surface to prevent plaque from attaching to your teeth
Coronal Polishing is an essential part of cleaning the teeth. The initial part is called scaling, which is done predominantly to remove calculus (tartar) deposits on the teeth. Polishing will remove the plaque and stain. Polishing also removes the biofilm which is the pellicle layer of bacteria on the surface of teeth
It removes the plaque and stain residue on the enamel to make the teeth look and feel better and to leave a smooth surface.
To make the tooth surface as smooth as possible to attract less plaque and also to remove stains.

Polishing does final smoothing of the teeth and roots. (If it were done before scaling, it would be more difficult to remove the smoothed deposits.)
Polishing is done after cleaning to remove the residual stains and the polishing paste has fluoride which helps strengthen the enamel of teeth thanks
