“Will hydrogen peroxide kill gingivitis?”
I am a 25 year old female and I have gingivitis. Will hydrogen peroxide kill gingivitis?

The most common reason for generalized gingivitis is plaque remaining around the teeth. The procedure used to remove plaque most effectively is brushing accurately. Peroxide and other modalities are adjunct therapies which can also be helpful.

No, it will kill you. A little diluted Hydrogen peroxide can oxygenate your mouth and destroy some bacteria. The disease can only be cured with professional soft tissue management. Long-term use of peroxide is unhealthy and dangerous. Read the label.
