Will swimmer's ear go away by itself?

I am a 25 year old male who has developed swimmer's ear. Will swimmer's ear go away by itself? Should I see a doctor?

If you have a lapse of exposure to pool water for several weeks
I would recommend to see a doctor as your symptoms may need treatment with antibiotics ear drops after evaluation by the doctor using a special instrument called otoscope (to check the inside of your ear).

Swimmers ear is an infection of the external auditory canal usually caused by the bacteria pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is recommended that a topical antibiotic ear drop prescribed by a physician be used. Pseudomonas can cause serious infections if not treated.
If the infection is mild, it can resolve, but most often it will get worse without treatment and can become very painful. Also, a low grade but persistent infection can be due to a fungus and that will need treatment. I suggest a visit to your local ENT physician.
