Endometriosis Increases Ovarian Cancer Risk, Study Reveals

Dr. Lucky Saraswat, leader of the study and consulting gynecologist at the University of Aberdeen, said endometriosis is a common condition but very little is known about the long term surgical risks in women.

Dr. Saraswat’s studies show that women with endometriosis have a higher risk of repeat surgery. She said greater awareness of this fact can be useful when counseling a woman with a new diagnosis and it helps them make timely reproductive choices.
