Hives & itchiness following a Moderna booster shot?
Yes, that help until his reaction subsides. At 4 days, I would think him about at the end of his reaction. G. Dickinson READ MORE
Covid booster?
I think that you are okay with three shots even though they are mixed G dickinson READ MORE
Rabies fear?
Your description suggests this was not an unprovoked attack - playing with a puppy, no bites. While dog saliva on broken skin theoretically could transmit if the dog has rabies, it is unlikely. I assume that your puppy is still alive and well. In general, a rabid animal that bites because he is rabid will be dead within 10 days - or at least severely ill. Your puppy, if still well, means no rabies. You need no shots, but make sure the puppy gets his final rabies shot. READ MORE
Covid vaccination side effects?
Your symptoms are seen after vaccination. Obviously can also be seen with early infection, but more likely just your immune response. Monitor your temperature and evolution of symptoms. If due to vaccine induced symptoms, they will level off, if worsening, then see a doctor. G. Dickinson READ MORE
Syphilis incubation?
Usually syphilis serology is positive within 3 weeks so you are probably safe but I would re-test for certainly G dickinson READ MORE
Vaccine booster?
Yes, I would recommend that you do so. READ MORE
Covid vaccine and cold?
Yes, your upper respiratory tract infection is not going to cause a problem. G. Dickinson READ MORE
Parasites under skin?
Your problem seems to be not parasites or microorganisms, but paresthesias in which your skin feels as if things are crawling around under your skin. If you can control the urge to scratch or pick at your skin for one week you will find your condition will improve G dickinson READ MORE
Newly vaccinated?
Yes you may G dickinson READ MORE
Have I been infected with an STD?
Not sure that I understand your use of two condoms. Some people wear two condoms, one on top of the other. But it seems you used one and then replaced for a second episode/continued sexual intercourse. Also, you do not mention the type of contact: vaginal? Rectal? Oral? Your symptoms do not suggest any of the sexually transmitted infections. Not HIV, not syphilis, not chlamydia, not gonorrhea, not HPV, not Herpes, and not infestation such as pediculosis (crabs) nor scabies. Could be a tinea (fungus infection). So, it does not seem that you did anything wrong. Itchiness is a symptom that is often worsened by anxiety, and nothing more. To remove all worries, I suggest that you see a doctor or clinic that deals with STDs. Hope this is helpful. READ MORE
I have a sore throat?
One of life’s great mysteries. But we can speculate: streptococci can be spread by contact - a long shot. Viruses can be blown around, and even if you wore the typical mask, that is not not fully protective - and possibly other people in your environment did not. Lastly, food and drinks can be a source of viruses and bacteria - usually do not cause sore throats, but could. But this is football season, and maybe you yelled for your team too much? G. Dickinson READ MORE
I'm having COVID vaccine (Pfizer) side effects?
Yes, I recommend that you see a physician and be checked for your heart and also for alternative explanations - to strengthen the explanation of what you are experiencing. G dickinson READ MORE
Do I have a parasite?
Tell the doctor your symptoms. If worms are the cause, he or she will diagnose them. Some patients think they have worms, but do not I will not schedule a new patient who self refers for parasites because usually I cannot help them and we waste his//her time and my time G. Dickinson READ MORE
COVID vaccine side effects?
No, this delayed swelling and redness has been described. It will resolve and you can take the second injection and you may have the same reaction - or not. G. Dickinson READ MORE
My covid booster?
Valacyclovir is neutral - does not matter. Once you are off prednisone for a few days to weeks, get the booster. And at some point, get the shingles vaccine, too. READ MORE
My mom has a small scratch?
Probably not. Is your mother on treatment with control? If so, then even more unlikely. If your mother is not on treatment, then the question is did a knife with her blood cut scratch you? Only then would I worry. I think as I understand your incident you have reason to be worried G. Dickinson READ MORE
Am I contagious?
No, not contagious- vaccinated healthy persons transmit less - fewer days - than do unvaccinated . You are more tha 3 weeks out so not considered a threat anymore even if you still test positive G dickinson READ MORE
Medical exceptions from COVID vaccination?
I do not think so. If you were my patient, I would discuss the importance of the vaccine for you. Strict masking and social distancing are very difficult to maintain. The risk of an adverse event from vaccination of significance to your health is minimal - perhaps not zero, but very unlikely. The risk from infection is common. In my interpretation of data, there is no question: get the vaccine G. Dickinson READ MORE
Period & covid vaccine?
I do not understand your question. Persistent pain after vaccination is not expected. G. Dickinson READ MORE
AstraZeneca Vaccine?
Yes, it is okay G dickinson READ MORE
