Where do you feel intercostal muscle pain?
Usually, intercostal muscle pain will be felt pretty localized to the rib muscles that are involved and can radiate around the body to the front. Some report pain into the chest too. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
Knee pain?
Pain in the knee after a week should be evaluated by a trained sports chiropractor or orthopedist to check for injury. A pop sound can be multiple things, but it’s too hard to guess without a proper workup. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
Can a chiropractor damage your spine?
Hello, A chiropractor cannot damage your spine if done by a trained skilled practitioner. There is always the chance for strains of muscles doing a chiropractic adjustment but most chiropractors will do some kind of muscle work to "loosen" you up a bit. As far as serious injury or damage, it is highly unlikely for that to happen. I have practiced for 20 years and have adjusted thousands of people and have never injured anyone. Always have that talk with your chiropractor to have them squash any concern you may have. READ MORE
Can a chiropractor help with a sprained ankle?
Hello, Yes, a sports or orthopedic-trained chiropractor could help with a sprained ankle. Look for a chiropractor with CCSP or DACO behind their name, which signifies sports and ortho training. READ MORE
How can I realign my neck?
Realignment of the neck and back are achieved through specific adjustments to the spine combined with postural exercises to maintain the alignment. Since you won't be able to do any specific adjustments to yourself, focus. READ MORE
How often should I wear a posture corrector?
The posture corrector should be worn during your work hours mostly as this is the place where most of us lose our proper posture overall. Typically, you would take it off after you're done and work on posture exercises to strengthen those same muscles. READ MORE
Is it bad to pop your fingers?
Not bad to do if you pull the fingers directly straight out rather than bending them to “pop” them. Basically, you are going along the joint line and not against it. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
How do you realign your knee?
That’s a tricky question because a true realignment would indicate that you had dislocated it and requires a professional to do it or brace it. Many people “feel” like it’s misaligned or it “looks” misaligned, which could be muscular imbalance, which gives you the feel of misalignment. Start by stretching the muscles of the legs to increase flexibility. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
How do I free a trapped nerve in my shoulder?
Depending on the location of the trapped nerve within the shoulder, you could try nerve glides to free it. There are great instructional videos on YouTube for them, too. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
How long does a pulled muscle take to heal?
Depends on the severity of the pull. Mild pull goes away in a week fully. Moderate to severe pulls can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to recover. Pull can be just a tight muscle or a strain which is more on the line of micro tearing. Those take longer to heal, of course. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
What happens if tendonitis goes untreated?
Hello, Tendinitis can reduce in pain by itself over time, but it may heal poorly and be weakened. This could lead to chronic injury at the same tendon over and over. Get some treatment for it or, at the very least, look up eccentric exercises and start doing them for the tendon involved. Eccentrics are shown to help correct tendinitis that are chronic (more than 3 months). Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
Why does the side of my foot feel like it needs to crack?
Hello, That feeling may be a restricted tarsal (foot) bone or a strained tendon or sprained ligament. If there is some pain out there, it likely is a strain/sprain. There could be many reasons that could be happening depending on your activities, so have it evaluated. Vishal K. Verma, DC, CCSP READ MORE
How do you realign your foot?
Realigning the foot is not possible unless done by a professional as it requires delicate and precise adjustments of the bones. If you are talking about straightening your foot out because it is facing out, focus on the outer hip muscles that are responsible for foot flare. This can include squats and lateral hip raises. How do you fix a dislocated elbow by yourself?
Elbows are a bit trickier to reset by yourself. Unlike shoulders, they require a professional to set it. Vishal K. Verma, DC, CCSP READ MORE
How do I regain the range of motion in my elbow?
This is a broad question as I'm not sure if the range of motion has been caused by injury or is chronic due to other causes. But in general, elbow ROM is achieved with flexion/extension activity like tricep/bicep exercises. If an injury has occurred or previously has occurred, X-rays are required to make sure nothing has happened to the bone that is causing the abnormal ROM. READ MORE
How should I sleep with impinged shoulders?
Sleeping with impinged shoulders can be painful and the only position that can be effective would be on your back and slightly inclined. Some people buy a body wedge pillow that elevates them at an angle. This was used for people with acid reflux before but can provide pressure relief for the shoulders and neck. If you find yourself always sleeping on your side, you may consider a side sleeper pillow that takes pressure off of your shoulders by positioning them properly. Everyone is different so try what works based on what I've said. READ MORE
How does a chiropractor adjust your upper back?
Depending on the style of the chiropractor, it could be by manual manipulation or by use of an adjusting instrument. They may also add some other techniques to address the muscles in the area as well. Vishal K. Verma, DC CCSP READ MORE
How do you crack your lower back like a chiropractor?

What are the benefits of seeing a chiropractor?
The benefit is having an expert in spinal and joint biomechanics assess and treat your daughter with a conservative method of care without any medication or surgery. Chiropractors are trained specifically in spinal evaluations and treatments to restore those biomechanics. Most people go to get "realigned" or "readjusted" which helps with their pain levels and returns them to their activity. There are many chiropractic specialties just like in medicine including pediatrics, sports medicine, orthopedics, neurology, etc. READ MORE
