Get to know Neurologist Dr. Sujatha Borra, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

A board-certified neurologist, Dr. Borra has operated a neurology practice in Tampa, and Wesley Chapel, Florida, for over 15 years. During that time, she has earned the exceptional reputation of being a physician who truly cares about her patients and who goes the extra mile to help them heal and maintain optimal health. 

She firmly believes in creating individualized treatment plans so that each patient is satisfied with their care — an outcome she considers more important than creating revenue. Her patients value her communication skills and know they can depend on her excellent diagnostics to determine the underlying causes of their symptoms. 

Her medical expertise and extensive experience include the full range of neurological disorders, which result from abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.

An Indian native, Dr. Borra earned her medical degree from Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College. After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in neurology at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

As a testament to her success and drive, the doctor is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

Among her various accolades, Dr. Borra has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2020), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2012).

On a more personal note, she speaks both English and Hindi.
