Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Darshan C. Vaidya, who serves patients in New Jersey.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the largest organ of the body, the skin.  A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages internal and external causes of skin diseases with both medical and surgical aspects as well as addresses many cosmetic concerns involving the skin. 

Specializing in adult and pediatric dermatology and surgery of the skin, Dr. Vaidya treats patients from infants to the elderly at Aura Dermatology with offices in Robbinsville and Somerset, New Jersey. He believes in providing high-quality care for all his patients and does so with compassion and sensitivity.  

With a strive to continue to use new technologies and evidence-based treatments yielding predictable and consistent results, some of the skin conditions that Dr. Vaidya treats include acne, psoriasis, eczema/atopic dermatitis, warts, skin infections/impetigo, HSV/shingles, skin rashes, skin cancer, mole removal, cysts, vitiligo, milia, hair loss, excessive hair, melasma/pigmentation, contact dermatitis, excessive sweating, molluscum, skin tags, and more. He also performs cosmetic dermatological procedures, including skin rejuvenation, microneedling, lasers (for hair removal, blood vessels, acne/rosacea, etc), Botox, dermal fillers, Emsculpt for non-invasive body contouring, and Miradry for excessive underarm sweating.

Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Vaidya earned his medical degree from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. He then went on to complete his internship at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ followed by his residency in dermatology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), he is a member of the American Medical Association, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.  

Dr. Vaidya is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, which certifies physicians in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology. He is also a member of the attending staff at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ.
