A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, Dr. D’Agostino went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 1992. He was a resident in internal medicine from 1992 until 1995. Thereafter, he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at the James A. Haley VA in Tampa, Florida from 1995 until 1996, after which he started a solo practice in internal medicine and primary care medicine in his hometown of Naples.  

Professionally, Dr. D’Agostino has been serving as the Subsection Chief of Internal Medicine at Naples Community Hospital since July of 1996. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
