Get to know Oncologist Dr. Nagy Elsayyad, who serves patients in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Dr. Elsayyad is a seasoned radiation oncologist in practice at Eau Claire – Marshfield Medical Center Cancer Center in Wisconsin. He specializes in head & neck cancer, brachytherapy, and prostate cancer.

A native of Egypt, Dr. Elsayyad graduated with his medical degree from the Cairo University – School of Medicine in 1984. After relocating to the United States, he completed internships at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and Creighton University Medical Center, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University. Later, he completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor attained board certification in radiation oncology and internal medicine through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The mission of the ABR is to serve patients, the public, and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomats have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill, and understanding essential to the safe and competent practice of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Elsayyad is a proud member of the American Radium Society, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology & Oncology, and the North American Skull Base Society.

Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves the controlled use of radiation to treat cancer. It is one of the three primary specialties – the other two being surgical and medical oncology – involved in the treatment of cancer. A radiation oncologist is a specialist physician who uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer.

Recognized as a Regional Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Magazine, Dr. Elsayyad has been the recipient of the Top Doctor Award by Coral Gables Magazine in 2019.
