I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because of the integrated care delivery model which is the best way to care for patients. My goal is to work together with patients and their family towards a treatment plan that maximizes their quality of life. Time spent with patients and building relationships are two reasons why I love my job. Prevention and management of chronic health problems take time and hard work, but it can be fruitful in partnership with a doctor that you trust. Dr Nguyen considers herself a life-long learner and enjoys being surrounded by her primary care and specialty colleagues at Bellevue Medical Center.
Dr. Nguyen was born in Vietnam and raised in Louisville, Kentucky in a large family. She did her undergraduate studies and medical training in the East Coast, and subsequently moved to Washington State due to her husband’s military career.
Shortly after starting her clinical practice, she received her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Washington in 2016. That experience enhanced her knowledge of health systems and made her a more well-rounded clinician. This helps her to further advocate and care for patients.
