    A time I went on a journey was when I was in the middle of 6th grade and 7th grade and this was during the summer of 2017 and my parents decided to send me to therapy because I’ve had anger issues and severe anxiety. This was not my choice, this was my parents choice and I went with it. At first I didn’t like it, but then as I started to go once a week, I started to realize how much I’ve changed over the years. My therapist is a guy named Dr. Michael Clatch and he is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life. Every time I have a problem or something happens, I go to him when I am scheduled to meet him and talk about it. I tell him my problems and after I do, he tells me the best advice that I have ever received. The hardest part of doing therapy is staying committed because like I said before, I didn’t like going to it at first, but then I realized it was important that I stay committed. I’ve found many strengths doing therapy and one of those is my problem solving skills improved drastically and once a month, I’m a part of his social skills group to improve my social skills. I felt that this journey has changed me as a person because when I was 12, I was a kid that had subpar grades, little to no friends, and people looked at me as a special need. But as the years went and I matured, I got amazing grades, many friends and even close ones, and have accomplished a lot ever since. I don’t know how to thank my parents for this opportunity and my therapist for helping on this journey.
