Hello, This is a question you need to ask your prescribing doctor. Also, you can consult a psychiatrist, a PCP, and a prescribing psychologist. Even in the states that allow the psychologists to prescribe medicines and give advice regarding the prescriptions, it does not mean that every psychologist in that state can prescribe or give advice about medicines. They need to get training in psychopharmacology and get certified. Whereas all PCPs and Psychiatrists can prescribe as they have a Medical Doctor degree. Follow your prescribing doctor's advice as medicines can also have side effects so you need to be careful. READ MORE
