  • What is the best surgery for belly fat?

Liposuction may be all that you need but based upon the appearance of your abdomen, you may require more a more extensive procedure such as an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). A qualified surgeon who examines you will be able to provide you with the most appropriate option. READ MORE

  • Which brand of breast implants are the best?

There currently are 2 major breast implant companies: Allergan and Mentor. Both companies offer a variety of excellent products. I have used products from both companies during my 31 years of practice as have most accomplished surgeons. I do, however, prefer Allergan implants, believing that they are superior. READ MORE

  • What happens if you don't wear compression garments after lipo?

The overall results of any liposuction procedure are dependent on the post-operative almost as much as the surgery itself. The use of compression garments for an appropriate amount of time following surgery is an integral part of the success of the procedure. READ MORE

  • What should I do after my rhinoplasty?

Your doctor should have given you post-op instructions. It certainly will depend on the extent of your surgery as no two patients are alike. I generally advise my patients to avoid any activities that could cause any undo strain, which could increase swelling. READ MORE

  • How often should breast implants be checked?

I advise all of my patients to follow up with me on an annual basis just to check how they are doing and to reassure them. Some surgeons don’t follow up with their patients, which is unfortunate, but reputable surgeons will check in with their patients at regular intervals. READ MORE

  • What happens if you remove your breast implants?

It depends on so many factors - the size of your implants, the length of time they have been in place, weight gain/loss since they have been in place, etc. Generally speaking, most patients are very unhappy with their appearance following implant removal alone. Your surgeon should counsel you and offer multiple options. READ MORE

  • Is eyelid surgery risky?

Surgery to rejuvenate the appearance of your eyelids is generally a very safe procedure if performed by a properly trained surgeon. READ MORE

  • Are breast implants safe long-term?

Yes. There is a new controversy regarding textured-surfaced implants, but smooth-surfaced silicone implants are safe. READ MORE

  • Is an augmentation the only way to level out breast size?

Yes. Depending on the size difference between your breasts you may be best treated with placement of a small implant in the smaller breast and a skin tightening/lift of the larger breast. Fat grafting to augment the smaller breast is another option rather than placing an implant. A properly trained surgeon would need to examine you and discuss the various options. READ MORE

  • How long does it take to recover from breast reduction surgery?

I generally tell my patients that they should expect a recovery time of 3-4 weeks. READ MORE

  • Can you wear glasses after an otoplasty?

It will depend on your surgeon’s routine. You most likely will have a surgical dressing for several days. After that is removed I normally allow my patients to wear their glasses. READ MORE

  • How long do you have to wear bandages after an otoplasty?

This differs with every surgeon. I personally remove the surgical dressings at 48 hours and then provide my patients with a soft headband to wear at night to protect their ears from any tension or having their ears pulled forward while they are sleeping. Your surgeon should discuss all of the care that they recommend during your preoperative discussion. Good luck with your surgery! READ MORE

  • How long does scar removal surgery last?

Your scar could certainly be improved with revisional surgery and with time it should continue to improve but despite the best efforts of any surgeon you may always have some remaining scar. READ MORE

  • Is this cosmetic surgery unhealthy?

It depends on what procedure is done but yes, this surgery may not be safe. READ MORE

  • Is a breast enlargement safe?

Yes. Properly performed by a well trained surgeon you should expect an excellent result READ MORE

  • Do breast implants feel natural?

It depends on your pre—operative breast size and the size of the implants that are placed but generally, you should expect your breasts to feel completely natural. READ MORE

  • Will an otoplasty affect my ability to hear?

No. It is strictly a cosmetic procedure. READ MORE

  • Is it safe to have a nose job in the summer?

No. It is perfectly safe to have your surgery in the summer. READ MORE
