Get to know OBGYN Dr. James N. Esserman, who serves the population of Florida. Dr. Esserman completed his undergraduate degree with Harvard College where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in 1973. Wanting to further his education he then completed his Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1978, giving him over four decades of experience in his field. After obtaining his Medical Degree Dr. Esserman completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology internship residency with the Jackson Memorial Hospital. To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Esserman remains a professional member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, William A. Little Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, and the Dade County Medical Association. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Esserman currently practices with South Florida Women’s Care and is affiliated with VitalMD. In the past, he has been the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both Baptist Hospital and South Miami Hospital. He is currently serving on the Department Advising Committee at Baptist Hospital, and the Chairman of the Diagnostic Center for Women Committee.
