Dr. Lipton earned both a PhD and a medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then moved to the Valley where he completed an internship and residency through the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency.
Dr. Lipton is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is also a member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the American Physiological Society, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Phoenix Surgical Society.
Dr. Lipton is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
