Get to know Internist Dr. Ravi Passi, who serves patients in Rockville, Maryland.

A board-certified internist, Dr. Passi is in practice at Advanced Primary & Geriatric Care in Rockville, Maryland. His clinical interests include hypertension, diabetes, geriatrics, and long term care.

Advanced Primary & Geriatric Care believe in working collaboratively with their patients to maintain and improve their health and quality of life. Their philosophy is to be proactive and provide preventive, appropriate and compassionate care to all their patients. They are always open to discussing patients’ questions and health care needs in an open manner.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Passi graduated with his medical degree from the Maulana Azad Medical College in India in 1980. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at DC General Hospital.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Certified Medical Director (CMD) for Long Term Care, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Among his other roles, he serves as a Medical Consultant at the Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland, and is the Medical Director for several nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

Speaking several languages, Dr. Passi is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
