Autism Spectrum Disorder

I am a mother of an Autistic child. He was diagnose just before his third birthday. At first I was told by several doctors he would grow out of it, but I did not believe it. I have three sons. Each one was different, but I grew up with children around me so I knew something was different. I just kept taking my son to the doctor's offices and dentist's offices. When my son was finally diagnosed I was able to take him to therapy, which he desperately needed to talk. My son first speaking words started around 42 months, but nothing would have been done without one doctor's first listening to me. Its been a rough road, but it would have been much worse for my son if I had not started his needed therapies as early as I did.
