My daughter is stuttering. Can speech therapy cure stuttering?

While stuttering itself cannot necessarily be "cured," speech therapists specialize in teaching children strategies/techniques/exercises that can greatly minimize the number of instances it occurs. They also can coach parents in ways to help promote fluent speech in the home. Speech therapy is very beneficial in helping families understand what exactly stuttering is and the ways that its effects can be significantly reduced.
There is no cure for stuttering. Speech Pathologist can provide strategies to help reduce actual stuttering.
Speech therapy is a great benefit to those that stutter. The reason for stuttering is different for everyone and is often coupled with treatment from a licensed mental health therapist as anxiety has been found to often time tie closely to stuttering.
