I had gallbladder surgery 2 weeks ago. How long does it take for the incisions to heal after gallbladder surgery?

If there are no issues with the healing of the incisions, most incisions are pretty well healed after 2 weeks and I usually allow my patients to remove all restrictions on bathing and submerging the incisions at that time. I use glue on the skin so they can shower the same day.
Each case is different so make sure you discuss and follow the recommendations of your surgeon that knows your case.
The incisions continue to heal until the 5th or 6th week. The scars, however, can continue to diminish long after that.
10 days
Incisions are about 80% healed at 2 weeks. The final appearance of the scar may take 3-6 months.
Up to 12 weeks.
