How long is COVID contagious in a person with infection?

So a friend of mine recently tested positive for COVID. He finished his 5-day quarantine and is still showing symptoms however, he's planning to hang out with me in an indoor location. Its also been less than 10 days since the infection started. Would it be safe to do a gathering or would I still have a risk of catching COVID?

You’re too young and healthy, nobody can avoid contacts with viruses and in your case it will be much better to continue with the life as usual, your Natural Immunity will get stronger, so don’t be scared to socialise.
Your friend sshould be in quarentine 9 aditional days to complete 14 days.
Your friend shouldn’t socialise with anybody whilst being symptomatic
