This is something that is managed by a urologist or surgical oncologist in most cases.
Surgery if feasible. Radical Nephrectomy. Make sure the other Kidney is healthy.
I am sorry to hear that, but what surgery is best has multiple factors involved. What type of cancer is it? What stage is cancer (ie does it involve the entire kidney and has it moved beyond the kidney)? Does this require an open procedure?
Cancer treatment requires a multi-disciplinary approach and these questions are usually answered after the patient is presented at tumor board which included the pathologist, surgeons, medial and radiation oncologist and radiology
Kidney resection, partial or complete.
