Urologist Questions Bladder Cancer

What does bladder cancer treatment involve?

I'm 35 years old and I'm going to have tests to see whether or not I have bladder cancer. If I do have it, what should I expect from the treatment?

At 35, diagnosis of bladder cancer is unusual, so hopefully there is a good chance for every thing to turn out ok. The first step in treatment, if cancer is found, is removal with a scope though the bladder. 70% of bladder cancers can be treated as such, possibly followed by placement of medicine in the bladder. In more advanced cases, removal of bladder and chemotherapy may be necessary.
