Around the nape of the neck and axilla, can sometimes mean you have high levels of insulin and may need to be screened for diabetes. If it's in patches on your face, this could be from hormones, sun exposure, pregnancy, etc. It is always a good idea to go see your physician and discuss these findings with her. She'll be able to point you in whatever direction you need to go.
