Vasodilan

Vasodilan is a medication that enlarges blood vessels in the body to promote good flow of blood. Vasodilan is a vasodilator that works by relaxing and widening the inside diameter of blood vessels so blood flows easier.

Doctors prescribe Vasodilan to treat conditions associated with poor blood flow such as:

• Cerebral vascular insufficiency
• Arteriosclerosis obliterans
• Buerger disease
• Raynaud disease

Doctors may also use Vasodilan to treat other health conditions. Vasodilan requires a prescription. You must only use Vasodilan according to doctor’s instructions.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell it to your doctor before receiving Vasodilan. Vasodilan is an FDA pregnancy category C drug, which means it can cause harm to the unborn baby when taken by pregnant patients.

Many medicines can be expressed in breast milk, so do not breastfeed if you are receiving Vasodilan. Vasodilan may suddenly cause reduced blood pressure, especially if you rise suddenly from lying or sitting down position.

To use Vasodilan properly, you must follow all instructions given by your doctor. The doctor will determine your dose of Vasodilan. You can take Vasodilan tablets with or without meals.

Always take Vasodilan tablets with a full glass of water. For your benefit, always take Isoxsuprine at the same time every day.

If you are receiving Vasodilan regularly, the doctor will usually schedule you to regular lab tests to evaluate the effect of medication and monitor for side effects.

If you missed a dose of Vasodilan, take as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and stick to regular dosage schedule.

If you overdosed on Vasodilan, call a doctor and head to the nearest hospital right away.

Vasodilan overdose symptoms include:

• weakness
• lightheadedness
• fainting
• nausea
• vomiting

Always store Isoxsuprine at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

In using Vasodilan, you must be careful and take some precautions as advised by your doctor. Vasodilan may reduce your blood pressure and cause dizziness.

This can affect your reflexes, so do not engage in driving or important activities if you experience dizziness. If you are taking Vasodilan, you can reduce dizziness by rising slowly and gradually from sitting or lying down position.

Always stick to scheduled clinic visits and lab tests while receiving Vasodilan to monitor. If you became pregnant while taking Vasodilan, call the doctor right away.

Make sure you meet with your doctor in using Vasodilan to avoid unwanted potential side effects.

Vasodilan may cause the following serious side effects that require immediate medical attention:

• Severe allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hoarseness of voice, chest tightness, hives, itching and swelling of the face, mouth, lips and tongue
• Too frequent or long-standing chest pain and irregular heart rate
• Severe dizziness or weakness
