It all depends on what type of ankle surgery you are having. Ask your surgeon if you will be able to walk afterwards.
This depends on the type of surgery and it complexity. You need to ask your surgeon.
It depends what type of surgery. If the surgery is to fix a broken ankle and the surgeon put hardware into the ankle, then your surgeon will instruct you to immobilize in a cast or CAM boot for several weeks. If it was an ankle arthroscopy, it will depend on what needed to be done during the surgery. Follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions.
With a brace and with extensive Physical Therapy.
You may walk with crutches or a roll about scooter.Don't plan to walk without help for 4 to 6 weeks.
Yes but you will need a cast boot
No, it is best to not walk on the ankle after surgery to allow proper healing.
Hello,

Most ankle surgeries require 8-12 weeks of NWB. I would need to know what procedure you are having done.
Depending on the surgery, but for a fusion, you are in crutches for 4 weeks. For a ligament of fracture, you are walking in a boot for 6 weeks.
It's always a good idea to rest and elevate after most foot and ankle surgeries. Depending on the surgeon, the procedure, any hardware used, and a few other factors, the answer is that you should be able to walk within a few days of the surgery with an assisted device, i.e., CAM Walker boot, crutches, or roller bench.
Generally not for 6-8 weeks
It totally depends on the procedure. If it is soft tissue like tendon repair or ligament damage, you can be ambulatory with a surgical boot. If it is more serious surgery consisting of bone repair like an ankle fusion, it's 8-10 weeks of non-weight bearing wearing a cast.
Depends on the procedure you are undergoing. Ligaments vs. tendon vs. articular cartilage or a fracture. Some you can weight bear immediately in a protected but mostly expect to be on crutches for several weeks.
That depends what the surgery is. Many ankle procedures require non weight bearing for several weeks to allow for healing. Other, less invasive procedures could have you bearing weight immediately in a boot.
