I am a 35 year old male. I want to know if acupuncture works quickly?

Yes
Acupuncture can work very quickly. Depending on the condition and severity you are trying to treat, the time can vary. Can you be more specific/give more details?
Yes! You could see some results after the first treatment. In some cases, you could see the difference right away.
it depends on what you are being treated for
On a patient under 25, yes. On everyone else? One never knows until a full intake and diagnosis is completed.
Thank you for your question,

Does acupuncture work quickly? Yes and no. The more acute an issue is, the sooner it can be resolved. The more chronic an issue is, the longer it can take to get resolved. The best advice is to have patience with the body and allow it to respond to the healing.
Good Luck! Yours in Health!
At Healing with Zen, our acupuncturists practice Balance Method Acupuncture. It is a fast and effective form of acupuncture that produces instant results using distal needles. This means needles are not put in the site of pain, but usually on the opposite hand, foot or limb. This method is used because the pain in a certain location may mean there is inflammation in that area. For example, if a patient were to come in for neck pain, the acupuncture needles would be put in the opposite ankle or hand.

Our patients usually notice an improvement in their pain levels and range of motion while in the office!

Even though Balance Method is very effective for pain relief, it can be used for numerous health issues, ranging from digestive complaints, migraines, high blood pressure, chronic health issues, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, stress relief and more.

In my experience, I have noticed acupuncture works more individually. Everyone responds to the acupuncture treatments just a little differently, depending on how chronic their condition is. Usually, the more chronic the condition, the more treatments will be needed before feeling a "big" difference. But in general, if you've never tried acupuncture before or it
has been years since, the first treatment will usually give an unbelievable result of relief, like "wow, is this really working or is it all in my head?" Then the next few visits may not provide much relief, but will pick up again by the 5th-8th visits. Consult with your primary care physician to see if alternative medicine would be a good choice for you.

For many people and many conditions, you can see some results quickly. Talk to a local acupuncturist for more information!
Hello!!

It works very quickly for some diseases. For example headache, sprain, arthritis, and etc^^
Yes depending on the condition and the skill of your provider.
It depends on what is being treated. If it's stress, it can work quickly. If it's a chronic illness, that is not an instant "fix."
Well...
As with any other medicine, it depends on whats going on with you. If you, for example, sprained an ankle, yes! Acupuncture works quite fast. But for some long recurring illnesses, you will need several months to even start feeling some benefits. It has to be taken case by case.
It certainly can, and depends on how out of balance you are. Acupuncture works by restoring the body to balance…then it can heal itself.
It depends on how your body responds and what you’re coming in for. If you’re coming in for pain that is relatively new/short-lived, you’re highly likely to feel a significant improvement after just one visit, but if you have a chronic condition or concern it will probably take longer to see lasting results. Acupuncture works with the body’s natural healing processes and typically requires a course of treatment to achieve a cumulative result over weeks or months depending.

The general rule of thumb is the longer in the making, the longer in the fixing.
Yes! Also depends on the issue
It can, but that depends on why a patient is coming in for treatment. In cases of stress or anxiety for example, a patient may feel relief within minutes of inserting needles. In a case of chronic pain, however, it can take weeks, even months of regular treatment before a patient feels relief. Generally speaking, the longer a condition has been in existence, the longer it will take to resolve.
It can give relief quickly, but acupuncture is about healing the body, and that doesn't happen over night.
Yes, acupuncture works quickly. It can heal some illness.
Define 'quickly'.

Probably the best analogy here is to compare acupuncture to a course of antibiotics. Only taking one antibiotic is unlikely to resolve the problem. In the same way, only having one acupuncture treatment is unlikely to resolve the problem. Both antibiotics and acupuncture require a course of therapy.

For acupuncture that's typically 10 treatments or so - a lot depends on what we're trying to treat, how long the patient has been experiencing the issue, whether or not they're seeing an actual board certified and state licensed acupuncturist (as opposed to someone who is operating under the scope of some other medical license and has a weekend seminar's worth of training), and how good the provider is at treating the issue at hand.

If the patient isn't willing to commit to at least 3 treatments, acupuncture is probably not for them.
