As soon as your epidural wears off and you are able to walk without assistance, you can begin walking the halls. Within a few hours, you will be on your feet.
Usually OBs want patients to mobilize quickly after C-sections.  Spinals and epidurals usually don't last for more the 2-4 hrs. Jay R Shayevitz 403 Golf Dr Oceanside NY 11572 T: 914-963-4393 C: 585-474-1741 Sent with Spark
This a question for the surgeon, but often patients are up walking later in the day and most definitely by the next morning.
They recommend moving gently and possibly with help to begin with as soon as you can helps with the circulation. Which will help with your healing.
Start walking immediately to prevent blood clots.
