Many stitches now dissolve on their own. Stitches should remain in place roughly 7 to 14 days after surgery, depending on the extent of surgery, if grafting material was placed, and the health of your gums. Ask your surgeon. If no appointment was made to remove the stitches, they are probably going to dissolve on their own at the right time.
It depends on what type of sutures were used.
Depends on what kind they were. Most likely they were the kind that you will have to go in and get removed. 3-7 days they should start dissolving.
Every surgeon is different, and every procedure is different. Also, some stitches dissolve on their own. It is a question for the person who placed them.
That depends on the type of suture used which depends on the surgical procedure. Generally, for tooth removals (extractions) a chromic gut suture is used which lasts 3-7 days. If it is a graft or implant often a longer-lasting suture like vicryl may be used which may last up to 30 days or as short as 2 weeks.
